§ 38.01. City administrator to act as purchasing agent; duties.

The City Administrator shall act as the purchasing agent of the city or he shall, subject to the approval of the Commission, appoint a purchasing agent. The purchasing agent shall purchase all merchandise, materials, and supplies needed by the city and may establish, if needed, a suitable store-house where such supplies shall be kept and from which same shall be issued as needed. He may adopt such rules and regulations governing requisitions and transactions of the business between himself, as purchasing agent, and the heads of the departments, officers and employees of the city, as the Commission may approve.
